Give Me CHL Classes Houston! I Am Ready for Concealed Carry!

Saturday, January 14th, 2012

High Standard The Plinker 22 LR Pistol 2 Mags Listed by: 400jlI learned to shoot the old-fashioned way, on my Granddad’s ranch, with a .22 plinker. That was quite a while ago, and so I learned all over again last year when I got a .44 for personal protection. The range where I learned how to use the gun was great, and I appreciate all they did for me, but they didn’t really have a lot of experience with Texas’s requirements for a CHL. So I punched “chl classes houston” into my search engine and went in search of somebody who did. I am really glad that this landed me at the website of 360 Tactical Training! They are an incredibly professional and full-featured training outfit. Getting me ready for a CHL was absolutely no sweat for them. Their CHL class is really a sales tool – a successful one, I have to say – and I’ll be revisiting 360 quite a few times in the future!

Better Safe Than Sorry

Thursday, June 2nd, 2011

Last year I had my first carbon monoxide alarm installed. Five years ago I had never even heard of these alarms, but now every home is required to have one. It definitely makes me feel safer. It’s scary to think of what could happen if you didn’t have one. I remember a couple of years ago when I was living in the United States there was a huge snowstorm in the small town that I was living in. The snow ended up being three feet deep when all was said and done. This proved to be disastrous for a few people. A family in another part of town had suffered carbon monoxide poisoning when their dryer vent got covered by snow and their house was filled with the exhaust. Sadly one of the family members died. This led to a lot of changes in building code, including making it mandatory to have a carbon monoxide alarm. Every time I change the battery in my alarm I remember that poor family and I am thankful I have this alarm to help me should I need it.

Project: Home Safes

Tuesday, September 21st, 2010

Our teacher gave us a research paper about safes and their different types. There was an incident about weeks ago where a family was robbed and was left with nothing. It was maybe her way making us aware about the importance of securing what we held valuable. In my attempt to have a better understanding of the subject matter, I chose to do a study about Home Safes. Since, my parents owned one then maybe it would help me realize how crucial it is to have one at home. We were not the richest family in our neighborhood but we sure had important documents and valuables that my parents wanted to protect. The moment they got that safe, I knew that they were not only for banks or other businesses but can also be used at home. They had some password protection to increase its security features just in case some intruder got access to it. From then on, they became a little confident that their valuables were kept safe.

My House In A Rich Neighbourhood

Saturday, July 10th, 2010

The area I live in is upper middle class up to higher class. I live in a very small house compared to those around me. However, I do like the area because the schools are good and my sons enjoy living here, although I have installed a night vision cctv system as I’m worried about burglaries. When I look around at the big houses with the extra details, the 6 bedrooms, the large outdoor pool, and all of the extra living space, you would think I would be jealous. But am I? No way. My house is perfect for me and my family. We have enough room to have our own space, but not enough so that we can ignore each other. Our house is homey and comfortable. I feel safe, snug and secure when I close the doors and sit down to watch TV or do work. When I enter the huge houses of my son’s friend, their is not the same sense of comfort or home. Sure it looks great and there is so much space, but I would rather have my family togetherness that is partially brought on by our large house. I do not feel the need to keep buying and talking to impress others – I don’t need to. I have what I want.
